April is a single mother of a child with a rare autoimmune condition, and a pagan. She loves knitting, Netflix, and her Bullet Journal. This blog will be a way to let off steam and de-stress. Life ain't easy and we all need an outlet.

Ask the Ancestors

When my daughter was in the hospital this past winter I felt completely lost. I wanted answers and had to find solace in what little information the doctors had for me. It's in moments like these that my Christian friends and family seek prayer. Being a Pagan my inclination was to seek advice through other means. I use Tarot and Lenormand cards. Both sets told me I should ask for help as it was waiting for me. So, I asked.

I made offerings to Hermes and Hecate. They were there, but fell silent. My shining moments came from asking the ancestors. This is when things began to turn around. I should have guessed because my daughter has an autoimmune disease that is genetic. It's my blood line that gave this to her, so it only serves that my ancestors be the one's to help.

When you are at the end of your rope, and everything seems lost, no one can help like family. Even if you can't see them.

I was going through a spiritual crisis. The feeling of abandonment was overwhelming. I could no longer hear the gods speak to me. What I didn't realize was that it was I've to move beyond the crossroads I had been sitting at all this time. H & H said it was time to choose a new road to survive.

Spiritual journeys are never boring are they.
